Step 1- Load papers into the paper tray. Align the papers before inserting it into the paper tray.
Step 2- Push the paper tray into the printer
Step 3- Click on the Settings icon on the display of the printer.
Step 4- Scroll down and find the “Printer Maintenance” menu and touch it with your finger.
Step 5- In the next step, choose the “Align Printhead” option to align the HP printer cartridge.
Step 6- Alignment will start. Tap on the “Continue” button.
Step 7- If you do not have a printer with a touch screen, go to support.hp.com and download the required software
Step 8- The printer will print the alignment page for HP printer.
Step 9- If you have a printer with a scan feature, you need to place the printed sheet of paper on the scanner.
Step 10- Close the lid of the scanner
Step 11- Touch the Scan option on the printer touchscreen or press the start copy key on the printer keyboard
Step 12- The printer will start scanning the alignment page
Step 13- The printhead will align itself. If the process fails then go to the next steps
Step 14- Touch the settings icon on the printer
Step 15- Navigate to the printer maintenance menu
Step 16– Click on the clean printhead option
Step 17– Click on continue and the cleaning process will start. It will take about 2-3 minutes to finish
Step 18- If you have a printer without a touch screen, go to the printer software, click on the “Device Services” tab, and then click on “Clean cartridges”
Step 19- Cleaning will start and will take about 3 minutes to finish. Make sure that sheets of blank paper are loaded into the paper tray before you start the cleaning process
