How to Fix Slow Printing Issues on Your Home Printer

Slow Printing issues can annoy you. Slow printing gets even more annoying when you are trying to print many pages in a go. If your printer is slow to print, follow this tutorial and fix the issue.

Method 1

Step 1– Go to the settings of your Windows computer and click on “Bluetooth & Devices”.

Step 2– Click on “Printers & scanners”.

Step 3– Select the printer you are using, all of the printers connected to your computer will show up here. Click on the printer print slow.

Step 4– To fix slow printing issues, click on “Run the Troubleshooter”.

Step 5– The Troubleshooter will begin work and will automatically detect and fix the slow printing issues.

Method 2

Step 1– Press the Windows button on the keyboard, on the startup menu, click on “Settings”.

Step 2– Click on “Bluetooth & Devices” on the left side of the settings menu.

Step 3– Click on your printer. 

Step 4– Scroll down and click on “Printing Preferences”.

Step 5– Click on the “Paper Quality” tab on the settings preferences.

Step 6– If you are only printing documents and the printer takes a long time to print, select the “Black and White” option. 

Step 7– Click on “Apply” and then on “OK” to save the settings. 

Step 8– To fix slow printing issues, you need to clear the files inside the print spooler folder, to do it, press the Windows key, search for “Services” and then open the program by clicking on it.

Step 9–  In the services menu, find “Print Spooler”, right- click on it and then click on “Properties”.

Step 10– Inside the “General” tab, change the startup type to “Automatic” and then click on “OK”.

Step 11–  Open the Run command by pressing the “Windows+R” key. Type “Spool” into the search bar and then click on “OK”.

Step 12– Double-click on the “Printers” folder to open it.

Step 13– Select all the files inside the folder and then delete it permanently.
