1. Open the Windows search bar. To do so, open the start menu by pressing the Windows key or by clicking once on the logo that looks like the Windows logo on the screen
2. In the search bar, type “control panel”
3. When the control panel icon appears, click on it to open the control panel and fix the tally printhead problem
4. Look for “devices and printer” in the devices section of the control menu
5. Right-click on the tally printer having a tally printhead problem
6. A pop-up menu will appear on the screen after right-clicking on the tally printer
7. On the menu click on printer properties
8. Inside the printer properties menu, you will be able to find the “clean printhead option” which is generally listed under print quality tools.
9. Click on the “clean printhead”option
10. The cleaning of the printhead will automatically start
11. The process will take about five minutes.

If there is no automatic cleaning option available for the tally printer you are using, you will have to manually clean the printhead to fix the tally printer issues regarding the printhead.

How to clean Printhead manually?

Cleaning printhead problems will solve such tally printer issues related to the printhead. Here is how you should clean the printhead yourself

1. Remove  the printer covers.
2. Open the ink cartridge door. Wait until the ink cartridge moves to the centre
3. Turn off the printer and remove it from the power supply
4. Take the ink cartridges out of the printer and clean it using a towel
5. The next step is to remove the printhead
6. You can remove the printhead of the printer by gently pulling the release bar.
7. Take a printhead cleaner or a bowl of water and soak the printhead inside the water.
8. Take out the printhead and soak it again in water
9. Repeat the process 2-3 times till the printhead looks ink-free
10.  Wait for the printhead to dry and then place it back inside the slot
11. Turn the printer on and see if the tally printhead problem is resolved or not.

Tally cartridge problem

The Tally cartridge problem is one of the serious tally printer issues if you regularly use of tally printer to print any documents or images. The cartridge is the box where the ink is stored for printing use. Issues with the box are termed as Tally cartridge problem

How to fix the Tally cartridge problem

Most of the tally printer issues regarding the cartridge are physical issues where you have to either remove the cartridge or replace it but sometimes it can be a software issue like the printer driver not recognizing the cartridge. Here is a step-by-step guide to fixing the tally cartridge problem

1. Close all the work on your printer and power it off
2. For extra safety, remove the plug of the printer from the source of power
3. Open all the printer covers and remove the paper tray from the printer
4. Pull out each of the ink cartridges one by one
5. Place the ink cartridge in a towel
6. Check the cartridge slot if there is a tally printer issues with the cartridge
7. Clean all the ink cartridges and start placing them back into their respective slots one by one
8. Before placing them back into the printer, be aware to check the amount of printer ink left in them
9. If you see that any of the cartridge has less ink in them, do not put them back, instead refill the cartridge or replace them with a new one and then put them in
10. Covers the printer doors
11. Start the printer

Run a print test using a text document to check if the tally cartridge problem is solved or not.
