Tally Printer Job Stuck In Queue

A Tally printer job stuck in queue is a very common printer-related issue. Documents when commanded by you to get printed do not directly get printed by the computer if there is another document that is waiting to be printed. All the documents which are to be printed go into the print queue and then they are printed one by one. When there are a lot of print commands given, the issue of document stuck in tally printer queue arises. Here is how to clear the print queue on your computer

How to solve tally printer items stuck in queue

Solution 1

  1. Open the start menu on your computer
  2. To go to the start menu. Press the Windows key or click on the Windows logo appearing on your computer screen
  3. Type in settings on the search panel and click ok
  4. This will take you to the settings of your computer
  5. In the settings, look for printer settings and click on it
  6. The setting of the printer will come up. Find the “print queue” option and click on it
  7. In the next step, click on “Cancel all documents”
  8. The print queue will be cleared and there will be no print commands left, you can either start printing again right away or you can choose to restart the print spooler in order to fix the Tally print stuck in queue
  9. Open the run command box on the Windows computer.
  10. To open the run command box, Press the R key along with the Windows key together at the same time.
  11. An empty search box will appear on the screen
  12. In the search window that appeared, type “services.msc”
  13. All the services currently running on your computer or are disabled will show up on the screen
  14. Navigate to the “Print spooler service”
  15. Right-click on the print spooler 
  16. A new menu will appear. Click on “Stop” and the printer spooler will be temporarily disabled on your computer.
  17. To fix the tally printer items stuck in queue, proceed to the next steps
  18. Navigate to the Windows folder which can be found on the drive where the operating system is installed 
  19. Look for system 32 folders inside the Windows folder and double-click on it to open
  20. Go inside the spool folder and then to the printer folder
  21. You will see a number of cache files. Select all of the files and press the delete button on your keyboard, or right-click on the chosen files and select “delete all”.
  22. Go back to the services window and restart the print spooler service by selecting the print spooler and clicking on the “Start” button.

The issue of a document stuck in tally printer queue will be cleared after restarting the print spooler service.

If the tally printer job stuck in queue is not solved by clearing the print queue on the computer, follow the second method. 

Solution 2

A Tally Printer Job stuck in Queue can be caused by reasons other than overloading of the print queue. This solution is designed for you to understand the problem and solve the issue of a document stuck in tally printer queue. First, you have to check the connections, check the print rollers, and then update the tally printer drivers. 

Here is how to fix the tally print stuck in queue step by step

  1. Verify that the printer, as well as the computer, are connected to the exact same wifi network 
  2. If one of the devices is connected with the extension, connect it to the same wifi
  3. Check the internet connection to make sure the signal strength is good
  4. Checking signal strength is very necessary to fix Tally Printer Job stuck in Queue
  5. If the USB cable that connects the printer’s port to your machine has been damaged, alternatively replace it. If the wire was accidentally ripped. 
  6. Unlock the front door of the printer.
  7. Clean the rollers that are on the printer.
  8. Shut the printer’s doors.
  9. Navigate to the tally printer website using your web browser.
  10. Navigate to the website’s Support space and select the equipment type. Click on “Printing devices”.
  11. Choose your device type or printer model.
  12. Click “driver updates” and select your operating system.
  13. Clicking “Download driver” will download the most recent printer drivers.
  14. Open the downloads folder on your computer
  15. Click on the printer driver setup 
  16. Click on the “Next” button
  17. Click on “Install” and agree to the terms and conditions

After the driver is updated successfully, restart the printer give a print command, and wait for a minute to determine if the Tally print job stuck in queue error is solved or not.
