Brother printer fuser replacement- How to do it?
- Buy the new fuser unit before you start the replacement process. You can buy the new fuser unit directly from the Brother website
- Open the back cover of the Brother printer and remove it.
- Remove the outer cover attached to the duplex unit of the printer.
- Remove the fuser cover by pulling the green liver.
- Take out the screw that holds the side cover as shown in the picture below.
- Remove the side cover after the screw has been taken out.
- There are screws on both sides of the duplex unit to hold it, remove both screws.
- Detach the connectors of the Brother printer fuser unit.
- A power cable connector is on the left side of the printer, detach it.
- Press towards the fuser unit and remove it from the printer. You can do the Brother printer fuser reset but it is recommended that you install a new fuser unit
- Take the new Brother printer fuser unit and reinstall it back into the printer.
- Connect the power cable back into the fuser unit.
- Attach the fuser cover back with the Brother printer fuser unit
- Install the outer cover and close the back cover of the printer.
